Eric Tinkler confirms an offer from PSL made him resign at Asante Kotoko

Eric Tinkler has revealed that his resignation at Ghana side Asante Kotoko was as a result of an offer from a South African club.

Tinkler paid tribute to his players where he told them that his departure had nothing to do with Kotoko's results on the field but it was an a tempting offer from his native land that made him resign.

“This is the world of football; I was given a good offer to go back to a club in South Africa. And that’s the main reason why I made the decision that I have," said Tinkler to the Kotoko players.

“Football, one day you’re here and the next day you can be up there. Yes, I was target was to get there this season, but I still firmly believe we can, we have enough quality here and with coaches, you can achieve that."

The former Sekhukhune United man is expected to be unveiled by Kwa-Zulu Natal side, Durban City, as they parted ways with Ben Youssef Khalil last week.
