England national team has no plan for Southgate's exit
At the end of the European Championship, there may be changes in the England national team, as head coach Gareth Southgate has talked about a possible move from the team.
However, as The Telegraph reports, the local football association does not yet have a plan in case of the specialist's move. Yes, the Three Lions have a list of candidates, but it's nowhere near final. Not to mention the fact that the Football Association of England does not have a gradation of advantages of candidates.
The main bet is that the bosses of English football will manage to persuade Southgate to extend his contract until the end of the World Cup 2026. But the specialist himself has postponed negotiations on his future until after the Euros. Among other things, he has so far refused and Manchester United, which intended to invite him.
Recall that the contract of the 53-year-old specialist is until December 2024. At the Euros, England will start with a match against Serbia on 16 June.
