The Ivorian defender will not be back for Tuesday’s match against Norway in the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup.

Having been substituted due to injury on the second day of the group stage of the World Cup currently taking place in the United States, Canada and Mexico, Wilfried Singo is not yet fit to return to action. The manager of the Ivory Coast Elephants, Emerse Faé, has confirmed that the player is continuing his recovery but that his return will have to wait a little longer.

“As for Wilfried Singo, we’ll have to be patient a little longer. He won’t be available for the match against Norway.”

Ivory Coast will face Norway this 30 June at 5 pm GMT at the Dallas Stadium.
