Durban City boss Farouk Kadodia outlines the mandate and expectations on coach Ben Youssef Khalil
Ben Youssef Khalil knows what is required of him to keep his Durban City job.
The former Kaizer Chiefs coach knows he must bring a cup and a top eight finish for the Kwa-Zulu Natal side for him to stay as coach of the club.
"Yes, it's completely changed, there's nothing fresh, coach Khalil obviously knows what the club achieved last season. There is no pressure, give us a cup in the cupboard and keep us in the top eight, that's the mandate," said Kadodia on Metro FM.
"You must understand that football is not about the passion and the love, it's about results and it's about financial management and you've got to manage your budget well, irrespective of whether you have a sponsor or you are putting capital monies to the club.
"The reality is that we need to grow the club and we need to attract a sponsor that will allow us to work freely and target players that we need and to build a brand."
They will start their maiden Betway Premiership season away to Sekhukhune United next weekend.
