Jamaica beat New Caledonia to secure their place in this crucial fixture in Mexico.

The Leopards of the Democratic Republic of Congo now know which team they will face on Tuesday 31 March. In the semi-final of the intercontinental play-offs, played on Friday, Jamaica beat New Caledonia 1-0. They will therefore join the Democratic Republic of Congo in the final.

In this final stage, the Congolese team hopes to secure a 10th place for Africa at the World Cup scheduled for next summer in the United States, Canada and Mexico. If the Leopards of the DR Congo manage to qualify for the 2026 World Cup finals, they will face Portugal, Colombia and Uzbekistan in Group K. It will also be a historic qualification for the DR Congo, which has not participated in the World Cup finals for 52 years.
