Disaster! Arsenal star suffers injury in opening minutes against Bayern Munich
Arsenal's Champions League night in Munich has turned into an absolute nightmare.
Details: Bukayo Saka suffered an injury just eight minutes into Arsenal's Champions League clash against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. The English winger suddenly went down after an attacking move on the right flank. Having tried to get past Alphonso Davies, Saka grabbed his thigh and collapsed onto the turf in obvious pain. There was no heavy collision immediately before the incident, raising concerns about a possible muscle injury.
The 25-year-old eventually managed to get back to his feet but was visibly limping and unable to continue. Mikel Arteta was forced to make an immediate substitution, bringing on Eberechi Eze in Saka's place in the 10th minute. The exact nature and severity of the injury have not yet been confirmed, and it remains unclear how long the winger could be sidelined.
This is a major setback for Arsenal, who entered the match having won both of their opening Champions League fixtures this season, defeating Napoli 1-0 and Lille 3-0. Saka had already been involved in several promising attacks before his unfortunate departure. It's worth noting that, according to UEFA statistics, the England international recorded one goal and one assist in his first two Champions League appearances this season.
