Dillan Solomons aiming for maximum points for Kaizer Chiefs as Amakhosi returns to the domestic front against Chippa United
Dillan Solomons says Kaizer Chiefs have one aim against Chippa United tomorrow night and that goal is to pick up maximum points.
Solomons is high in confidence having scored two goals in two matches for Amakhosi in their caf Confederation Cup matches.
Interestingly, both his goals, came against Egyptian sides in Al Masry and Zamalek.
The most important goal of the two is the equalising goal against Zamalek last Saturday as they lost 2-1 to Al Masry in their first match.
Having dusted off the Caf matches, now Chiefs’ focus shifts to the domestic game as they face bottom placed Chippa United tomorrow night in a Betway Premiership match.
“I’m looking forward to the Chippa game. Obviously, coming off a fair result in the CAF Confederation Cup, we want to refocus on the league,” said Solomons.
“We know what type of team Chippa is, and it won’t be an easy game away from home, but our intention is to pick up maximum points by making sure we execute what we have to do.
“Because of the short turnaround between games, we haven’t had much time to focus on Chippa, so sticking to our own processes will be crucial to getting a positive result.”
Amakhosi will be looking to win so they are not far off from table toppers Orlando Pirates who are on 25 points.
Chiefs are on the fourth spot with 22 points while Chippa are bottom placed with eight.
The match takes place at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium at 7.30pm.
