Liverpool forward Alexander Isak has shared his thoughts on the injury he sustained during the Premier League’s Matchday 17 clash against Tottenham, which has ruled him out for a significant period.
Details: On his Instagram, the Swedish striker admitted that coping with this forced break has been tough, but he’s determined to focus on his recovery and continue supporting the team.
“Devastated to be sidelined for a while. Now it's time to recover and support the team from the sidelines. I’ll work hard to come back as soon as possible,” Isak wrote.
The player also thanked the fans for their support:
"Thank you to all the Liverpool fans and everyone else for the warm messages. I see everything and truly appreciate it."
Isak picked up the injury during the match against Tottenham, where he managed to get on the scoresheet but was later forced to leave the field.
It’s worth noting that this season, the Swede has already featured in sixteen matches for the Reds across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
Reminder: Liverpool head coach Arne Slot remains confident that Alexander Isak will return to action before the end of the season.
