Decision made on Lautaro Martínez. Will he move to Barcelona?
Barcelona have run into a major obstacle in their pursuit of Lautaro Martínez.
Details: According to renowned Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter consider Lautaro Martínez untouchable and have no intention of selling their captain. The Nerazzurri have therefore taken a firm position regarding the future of the Argentine striker amid reports of growing interest from Barcelona.
Di Marzio also reports that Barcelona have not submitted an official offer for Martínez at this stage. This means the Catalan club's reported interest has not yet developed into a formal proposal to Inter.
The update comes after fresh reports in Spain claimed that Lautaro had emerged as Barcelona's leading candidate to strengthen the centre-forward position. However, Inter's stance makes any potential negotiations significantly more complicated: the Italian champions currently do not want to discuss the departure of one of the key figures in their squad.
It is worth noting that Inter's official website continues to list Lautaro Martínez as the club captain. Since joining the Nerazzurri in 2018, the Argentine has made 376 appearances for Inter and scored 175 goals.
Reminder: Urgent! Barcelona close to signing Argentina forward — and it's not Álvarez
