The Finalissima is a football competition between national teams, first established in 1985. It consists of a single match between the reigning champions of Europe and South America and is held every four years, just before the World Cup.
Argentina were crowned Copa América 2024 champions after defeating Colombia in the final, while Spain triumphed over England in the final of the 2024 European Championship.
