Zambia earned a dramatic 1-1 draw against Mali at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after Patson Daka struck in injury time in Casablanca. Mali had taken the lead just after the hour when Lassine Sinayoko finished from close range following a corner.
The Eagles could have gone ahead earlier, but El Bilal Toure’s penalty was saved by goalkeeper Willard Mwanza. Mali dominated much of the contest, yet Zambia stayed alive. Daka rose to meet a lofted cross late on, rescuing a point. Both teams now trail hosts Morocco in Group A standings after opening matches in Morocco this tournament.
