The battle between Benfica and Real Madrid is raging not just on the pitch, but also in the UEFA boardrooms.

Benfica claims that during one incident, Valverde deliberately struck Samuel Dahl, an action that warranted a red card. However, the match referee overlooked the moment.
The incident occurred in the 83rd minute, as Valverde and Dahl were battling for position, and the Uruguayan delivered a precise punch straight to Dahl's face.
The Portuguese side insists that UEFA must take action against Valverde, arguing that such an act of aggression has no place in football and tarnishes the sport.
The return leg between Real Madrid and Benfica will take place on February 25 at Santiago Bernabéu.
