The management of Real Madrid has demonstrated a zero-tolerance policy toward radical behavior in the stands.
Details: According to Mundo Deportivo, during the Champions League match against Benfica, one of the supporters in the “Grada Fans” section of the south stand was identified and immediately removed from the stadium. The incident occurred even before the opening whistle, during the pre-match preparations.
Surveillance cameras clearly captured the man repeatedly raising his right arm in a Nazi salute. The stadium's security team responded without delay: the offender was identified and escorted out of the arena. The fan is now awaiting further decisions on his case, which could result in a lifetime ban from matches of the “royal club.”
Most likely, disciplinary proceedings will be opened against the detained individual, which could lead to his expulsion from the official supporters' group.
Notably, the match itself ended with a 2-1 victory for Real Madrid.
Reminder: It has been revealed who Real could face in the Champions League round of 16.
