West Ham striker Taty Castellanos was at the centre of a scandal during the 100th Dockers' Derby against Millwall in the Championship. The forward was accused of spitting at the opposition goalkeeper, Filip Marshall. The incident occurred in the second half of the match, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

After Marshall caught the ball, Castellanos attempted to prevent him from restarting play quickly. The two players became involved in a confrontation, after which the 23-year-old goalkeeper pointed to his shirt and gestured that he had been spat at. Millwall representatives reported the incident to fourth official Lewis Smith. However, video footage of the episode does not provide definitive confirmation of what happened.

Millwall head coach Alex Neil said he would not doubt his goalkeeper's account and expected the incident to be reviewed by the officials. West Ham manager Nuno Espírito Santo said he had not seen the incident himself and was not prepared to comment on the accusation. Notably, this was the first meeting between the teams in 14 years.
