Comfortable win for Slot. All goals and match highlights of Liverpool vs Brentford 2:0

Liverpool and Brentford closed out the second round of the English Premier League with a head-to-head match at Anfield.

The match was relatively straightforward for Arne Slot's side, who dominated throughout and secured a deserved victory. Thanks to accurate strikes from Luis Díaz and Salah, the Reds gave their Dutch manager his first win at their home stadium.

Notably, Liverpool played with their usual lineup and in their characteristic style. Slot himself has mentioned in interviews that he inherited an excellent team from Jürgen Klopp.

It's also worth highlighting that this match marked the 100th Premier League appearance at Anfield for Liverpool's captain, Virgil van Dijk. Remarkably, the team has only suffered two defeats in those games.

Looking ahead, Slot and his Liverpool team will face their first real test on Sunday, September 1, with an away game at Old Trafford against Manchester United.
