Nigeria's determined to win the AFCON 2025 title, driven by the pain of losing the 2023 final to Côte d’Ivoire. Coach Eric Chelle believes his team has the talent and motivation to succeed.

The Super Eagles are in Group C with Tunisia, Uganda and Tanzania. Tunisia eliminated Nigeria in AFCON 2021, making their clash highly anticipated. Uganda and Tanzania will also fight hard to cause upsets.

Nigeria has won three AFCON titles in 1980, 1994, 2013 and remains one of Africa’s strongest teams. Stars like Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman will play key roles.

Chelle, appointed in January 2025, sees this tournament as personal redemption. His Mali team lost in the 2024 quarterfinals.

AFCON 2025 runs from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, in Morocco. Nigeria aims to reclaim its place at the top of African football.
