The draw took place at the Mohamed V National Theatre in Rabat, attended by CAF President Patrice Motsepe, Moroccan FA President Fouzi Lekjaa, and African football legends. Coaches of the participating teams, including Morocco’s Walid Regragui and Egypt’s Hossam Hassan, were also present.
Fouzi Lekjaa emphasized Morocco’s readiness to host spectacular tournament, reflecting the growth of African football, as seen in Africa’s historic semifinal appearance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
