The draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), held in Rabat, Morocco, has set the stage for thrilling group stage encounters, including anticipated arab clashes. The tournament will take place from 21December 2025, to 18 January 2026.

The draw took place at the Mohamed V National Theatre in Rabat, attended by CAF President Patrice Motsepe, Moroccan FA President Fouzi Lekjaa, and African football legends. Coaches of the participating teams, including Morocco’s Walid Regragui and Egypt’s Hossam Hassan, were also present.

Fouzi Lekjaa emphasized Morocco’s readiness to host spectacular tournament, reflecting the growth of African football, as seen in Africa’s historic semifinal appearance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
