Chippa United coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi is impressed with Abbubaker Mobara's versatility as he describes the former Orlando Pirates man as 'top class'

It has taken two matches for Abbubaker Mobara to win the heart of Vusumuzi Vilakazi at Chippa United.

Vilakazi arrived at Chippa with a mission of ensuring the side climbs the Betway Premiership table and move away from the basement.

His arrival coincided with the signing of the former Ajax Cape Town, Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu utility player.

And now Chippa has moved from the 16h spot of the Betway Premiership standings to the 14th one.

And the coach has been impressed after the versatile player dished out spirited displays against Orbit College and Durban City.

“Mobara is top class, Mobara gives us stability defensively and you can even play him in the midfield or right-back,” said Vilakazi.

“So, he’s a super player, when you didn’t have a job for seven months but you can’t say it now because he’s been with us for three weeks. He’s doing a great job for us.”

Mobara will be expected to play a key role when they face Richards Bay on Saturday at Buffalo City Municipal Stadium in a PSL match.
