Something inexplicable is unfolding in Nice.
Details: According to L'Équipe, 26-year-old striker Terem Moffi and 28-year-old winger Jeremie Boga were attacked by Nice supporters after their team bus arrived at the training facility.
Following a 1-3 defeat to Lorient in matchday 14 of Ligue 1, Nice fans decided to confront the team outside their home stadium for a discussion. Reports indicate that around 400 fans gathered, and at one point, things escalated beyond control as supporters stormed the bus where the players were seated. After a brief exchange, a scuffle broke out, resulting in Terem Moffi and Jeremie Boga being assaulted—both receiving multiple blows and even being spat at.
In addition to the players, Florian Maurice, the club's sporting director, was also attacked.
It is currently known that the club has decided to suspend Moffi and Boga from training and first-team matches.
At the moment, Nice sits 10th in Ligue 1 with 17 points to their name.
Reminder: A bitter but incredible statistic: Nice have failed to win in 17 consecutive European matches
