Super Eagles Forward Moffi Assaulted by Angry Nice Fans Post-Match

Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi, along with Ivorian winger Jérémy Boga, was reportedly confronted and assaulted by furious OGC Nice supporters following the team’s 3–1 defeat to Lorient on Sunday. The loss extended Nice’s winless run to six consecutive matches across all competitions, further intensifying frustration among fans.

According to The Athletic, around 400 agitated supporters gathered at the club’s training ground, positioning themselves at the entrance where players usually park their cars. The group waited for the squad’s return from their flight into Nice, and sources close to the situation claimed that some players were physically attacked during the confrontation.

OGC Nice later released a statement condemning the incident, describing the behavior as “unacceptable” and stressing that the club “condemns these acts with the highest toughness.”
