Cedric Kaze happy with Siphesihle Ndlovu and Flavio Silva in Kaizer Chiefs' 1-0 victory against Marumo Gallants in a PSL tie as they are now third

Cedric Kaze praised the impact of Siphesihle Ndlovu and Flavio Silva in Kaizer Chiefs’ 1-0 victory over Marumo Gallants last.

Ndlovu and Silva replaced Nkosingiphile Ndlovu and Kanyisa Mayo in the second half and the Burundian coach highlighted it was the duos influence which saw them earn the three points in Bloemfontein.

Amakhosi then jumped to the second spot of the Betway Premiership standings following the victory over Gallants.

Glody Lilepo scored a wonder striker for the Naturena-based side to seal the win which saw them reach the 30-point mark, two behind table-toppers in Mamelodi Sundowns.

“We knew that sometimes player don’t get much time struggle a bit, especially on that field when there were a lot of 50-50 duels,” he told SuperSport Tv.

“And we are happy with the contribution of Ndlovu and Silva, when they came in they were able to stabilize the game, they stabilized the team and we are to threaten in our attack.”

Kaze disclosed a heart to heart talk with his players at half time might have made the difference as well.

“We are happy for the three points,” he said.

“I believe that we didn’t start the game very well, the first half was a little bit sloppy, a little bit reactive.

“We had to tell the players that if we want the three points we need to get out there and get on the front foot, not react to every pass and movement they make.

“The second half was much, much better and what a goal. We are very happy to get the three points and now we focus on the CAF Confederation game on Sunday.”
