Cassius Mailula reveals failed stints abroad built him to the player he is today

Cassius Mailula is a happy man he has returned to play in the PSL.

The Bafana Bafana striker returned to Mamelodi Sundowns after a failed stint in Morocco, USA and Belgium in the off-season.

His return has been impressive that he is also back in the reckoning for the national side under Pitso Mosimane.

And he alludes that to those countries he played in as ones which built him.

“So, you can just see that now coming back home, I’m hungrier to play. I want to win every match that I’m playing and also help my team win games," said Mailula ahead of Bafana's 2027 Afcon qualifier against Guinea tomorrow.

“So yeah, man, I’ve learned a lot, and it also gave me a chance to be back in the national team, when you play, it gives you a chance to come back and represent your country.”
