Cameroonian international Jérôme Ngom Mbekeli has signed with Meizhou Hakka in the Chinese Super League. The 26-year-old winger, previously with Sheriff Tiraspol (Moldova), joins as a free agent.

Meizhou Hakka, which finished 15th last season, confirmed the signing on Facebook. Ngom Mbekeli will wear the number 8 jersey.

Trained at Apejes FC, he has played in Czech Republic, USA, Belgium, and Moldova. He was part of Cameroon’s 2022 World Cup squad, featuring briefly in the 1-0 win against Brazil.

Now valued at €400,000, he hopes to revive his career in China, where he has already started training and played a friendly on February 10.
