Cameroon vs Gabon: what you need to know about the match

Cameroon delivered an excellent performance in their AFCON 2025 qualifying group. They collected 14 points from six matches and booked their place at the tournament by finishing first. This will be their fifth consecutive appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations. At the previous edition, Cameroon were knocked out in the round of 16, but in 2021 they finished third, and in 2017 they went all the way and lifted the trophy.

Gabon missed the previous edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, but are now returning to the continental stage. They did feature at the 2021 tournament and managed to reach the knockout phase. This time, they will be aiming to repeat that achievement. Gabon qualified for this AFCON by finishing second in their group, picking up ten points from six matches.
