On Sunday, 21 December, the new edition of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations gets underway. The tournament will be held in Morocco from 21 December to 18 January.
This will be the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, with 24 national teams competing for the title of the best on the continent. The Ivory Coast national team will attempt to defend their championship crown.
The 24 teams have been divided into six groups of four. The top two teams from each group will qualify directly for the knockout stage. Four more teams will advance to the round of 16 based on the ranking of third-placed sides.
