CAF Champions League: Colombe Sportive return to Cameroon after stunning win in Senegal

Richard Towa’s side returned to Cameroon following their 2–0 victory against Senegal’s Tengueth FC in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

Colombe Sportive pulled off a fine result in Senegal by winning by two goals away from home against the reigning Senegalese Ligue 1 champions. This victory puts the Cameroonian champions in a strong position heading into the second leg, with their sights set on securing a historic place in the group stage.

On their arrival at Yaoundé-Nsimalen International Airport, the players and coaching staff received a warm welcome from numerous fans who had come to celebrate their performance.

Now back in Cameroon, Richard Towa and his team will begin preparations for the second leg, scheduled for 25 October in Yaoundé. In front of their home crowd, their aim will be to build on the lead they secured away from home and secure a historic place in the group stage of the 2026–2027 CAF Champions League.

However, nothing is certain yet for the Cameroonians, despite this lead.
