CAF Champions League: Colombe Sportive beat Teungueth FC and are well on their way to qualification
The Southern Bird pulled off an excellent result on their trip to Senegal for the first leg of the second preliminary round of the 2026–2027 CAF Champions League.
Colombe Sportive secured a 2-0 victory over Teungueth FC on Sunday 18 October at the Léopold Sédar-Senghor Stadium. The Cameroonians took the lead early on in the match. Eyango Priso opened the scoring in the 13th minute.
The visitors then waited until after the half-time break to extend their lead. In the 46th minute, Musah scored the Cameroonian club’s second goal, putting his side in an even stronger position ahead of the return leg.
Despite Teungueth FC’s efforts, the score remained unchanged until the final whistle. With this away victory, Colombe Sportive will go into the second leg with a two-goal advantage. The Cameroonian club is now just 90 minutes away from a historic qualification for the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
The second leg will be played in Yaoundé next week. In front of their home crowd, the Southern Bird will aim to build on this performance.
