Liverpool are one of England's top clubs, and new potential investors have now emerged who are interested in acquiring a stake in the club.

Details: According to the BBC, a consortium led by British-Indian millionaire businessman Amit Bhatia has expressed interest in acquiring a minority stake in Liverpool.

Quote: "An investment consortium led, managed and represented by Amit Bhatia has expressed an interest in making a strategic minority investment in Liverpool Football Club," Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group said in a statement to BBC Sport.

If the investment goes through, it would follow a similar deal completed in 2023, when FSG sold a minority stake in the Reds to global sports investment firm Dynasty for between £82 million and £164 million.

Reminder: Liverpool have added Borussia Dortmund left-back Daniel Svensson to their list of priority targets and have already drawn up a concrete plan to sign him.
