€50 million at stake! Liverpool and Arsenal set to wage war for Borussia's rising star
Daniel Svensson could become the catalyst for a new high-profile transfer battle in England.
Details: According to CaughtOffside, as reported by insider Ekrem Konur, Liverpool have placed Borussia Dortmund's left-back Daniel Svensson on their priority target list and have already developed a concrete plan to sign him. However, Arsenal are also seriously interested in the Swede and are ready to enter the negotiations.
Liverpool see the 24-year-old as a dynamic long-term option for the left side of their defense. Arsenal, meanwhile, are particularly attracted by the player's versatility, as he can operate as a left-back, wing-back, and midfielder.
Real Madrid, Milan, and Juventus are also reportedly interested in Svensson, but for now, the English clubs are considered the main contenders.
The potential deal is expected to be valued at around €50 million. Borussia Dortmund have no intention of letting one of their key utility players go without an offer that fully satisfies the club's management.
It's worth noting that Svensson's contract with Borussia runs until the summer of 2029. In the 2025/26 season, the Swede scored twice and provided two assists in the Bundesliga, and Transfermarkt currently values him at €22 million.
Reminder: Trust! Official: Liverpool extends contract with key player.
