The disappointment in the AFCON final has seriously shaken Regragui's confidence.

Details: According to Footmercato, 50-year-old Morocco head coach Walid Regragui has officially submitted his resignation following the defeat in the Africa Cup of Nations final.

Reports say Regragui no longer believes in his ability to lead Morocco, despite guiding the team to historic achievements such as a World Cup semi-final and a silver medal at the Africa Cup of Nations, where they fell to Senegal in a dramatic 0-1 showdown.

However, despite his desire to step down, the Moroccan Football Federation has not yet accepted Regragui's resignation, meaning he remains at the helm of the "Atlas Lions."

Walid Regragui took charge of the Moroccan national team in 2022. He has overseen 49 matches, recording 36 wins, 8 draws, and just 5 defeats.
