Borussia have contacted Man City about the defender's transfer. Bumblebees don't want to pay clause

Borussia Dortmund is looking to strengthen their defense, with one option being Manchester City full-back Yan Couto.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Black and Yellows are unwilling to pay the release clause, which stands at €40 million. They are currently negotiating with the Citizens, aiming to lower the price to €20-25 million. The player himself is also interested in moving to Germany.
Last season, the 22-year-old Brazilian scored 2 goals and provided 8 assists in 39 matches for Girona.
One of the top scorers of the previous season in the top five leagues, Serhou Guirassy, has left Stuttgart. The striker has officially joined Borussia Dortmund. The Black and Yellows paid €17.5 million for Guirassy's transfer.
Previously, Borussia Dortmund also signed Germany national team central defender Waldemar Anton from Stuttgart.
