End of saga. Bundesliga's second top scorer transferred to Borussia Dortmund
One of the top scorers of last season in the top 5 leagues, Serhou Guirassy, has left Stuttgart.
Today, the Guinean forward officially joined Borussia Dortmund. The Yellow-Blacks paid €17.5 million for the transfer, which was the release clause specified in his contract.
Guirassy has signed a contract with Borussia Dortmund until the summer of 2028.
Late last week, Guirassy failed his initial medical examination as the club discovered a knee injury, which will keep him out of pre-season training and see him return only by the third round of the Bundesliga. A subsequent medical examination revealed that Guirassy does not require surgery, and the transfer was completed.
In the past season, Guirassy was the second-highest scorer in the Bundesliga, netting 28 goals in 28 matches, helping Stuttgart finish in a surprising second place.
Previously, Borussia Dortmund also signed Germany national team central defender Waldemar Anton from Stuttgart.
