Racial controversies are surfacing with increasing frequency in Spain, and Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior has often been a target. However, during yesterday’s season’s first El Clásico, some Los Blancos supporters at the Santiago Bernabéu took things further, directing offensive chants at Barcelona’s young talent Lamine Yamal.

Details: Yamal made history in the match, scoring Barcelona’s third goal and becoming the youngest goal-scorer in El Clásico. After netting his goal, he sprinted towards Real Madrid fans, turning his back and pointing to his jersey name and number in a jubilant display. Barcelona teammate Raphinha soon guided him away from the home fans as the Catalans continued their celebration. However, cameras captured a Real Madrid supporter gesturing vehemently and shouting slurs in Yamal’s direction.
The video, which has already spread across social media, revealed that the fan shouted racial slurs, including "Damn n****r" and "Damn Moor." The fan did not stop there, continuing with further chants that included vile insults directed at Yamal's mother: "Your f***ing mother" and "F***ing whore."
La Liga is expected to provide an update on the situation soon, while Real Madrid will conduct an internal investigation into the actions of those involved.
Reminder: Just days before the match between Real Madrid and Barcelona, La Liga President Javier Tebas addressed the issue of racism in football.
"I am concerned about El Clásico and other matches due to racism and intolerance," he stated.
The head of the employers' association also emphasized this point while signing an agreement between La Liga and the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Protection, and Migration.
