Black streak. Official: Alisson out for the rest of the season. The Brazilian risks missing the World Cup
Terrible news has been delivered by Arne Slot.
Details: At the pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow’s FA Cup quarter-final clash against Manchester City, Liverpool head coach Arne Slot confirmed that the team’s main goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, will miss the remainder of the season due to injury.

According to Slot, Alisson’s injury turned out to be far more serious than initially feared:
“He won’t be available for the upcoming matches, he’s sidelined for a longer period. We expect him to return only towards the end of the season.”
Alisson suffered a muscle injury at the end of March. While it was first thought the goalkeeper would return by mid-April at the earliest, it’s now clear his season is effectively over—a devastating blow that puts his place in Brazil’s squad for the 2026 World Cup in serious doubt.
This season, Alisson has played 34 matches for the Reds, conceding 36 goals and keeping 13 clean sheets.
Reminder: Arne Slot comments on Salah’s departure at the end of the season
