On Wednesday, January 10, the fifth stage of the Biathlon World Cup in the 2023-24 season commenced in the German town of Ruhpolding. The inaugural race was the women's relay.

The French team, for the second consecutive time, ascends to the golden podium. Just as in Oberhof and Ruhpolding, the French contingent delivered an exemplary performance. The biathletes incurred a mere four shooting errors while conquering the course in 1:08:44.5 hours. Occupying the second position is Team Sweden. Despite committing one less error on the shooting range, their effort fell short by 8.7 seconds. The trio of leaders concluded with Team Germany, which, with three shooting errors, trailed the French by 46.7 seconds.
