Bernard Parker starts his reign as TS Galaxy coach with a goalless draw against Magesi FC at Mbombela Stadium ahead of the Nedbank Cup final next week
Bernard Parker started his reign as TS Galaxy coach with a goalless draw against Magesi FC.
Parker’s Galaxy let go of their coaching duo of Adnan Beganovic and Nermin Basic to make way for the former Kaizer Chiefs striker, who was the assistant coach to Beganovic.
At Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga, Galaxy could not use the home ground advantage as Magesi FC are on a rise of sort, having beaten Durban City 5-2, a week ago today.
Galaxy with their struggles which saw them go 10 games without a win had to be cautious against the side from Limpopo.
The goalless draw sees Magesi move to the 14th spot on goal difference as they are tied on 21 points with Marumo Gallants, who are on the 15th place.
Magesi have a better goal difference to Gallants.
But their opponents today are on the 12th spot with 26 points, something which will worry this season Nedbank Cup finalists.
They face Durban City in the Ke Yona final next Saturday, where Parker will be hoping to make history by winning his maiden trophy as a coach.
