Benzema's future remains uncertain: No contract extension with Al-Ittihad yet
The legendary striker's contract with Saudi side Al-Ittihad expires in June next year. A decision regarding his future has yet to be made.
Details: According to Footmercato, Karim Benzema has not extended his contract nor received any official offer from Al-Ittihad so far.
Reports from Saudi Arabia suggesting that the 2022 Ballon d'Or winner had supposedly renewed his deal with the Jeddah-based club have proved to be inaccurate. As it stands, it's unclear where the Frenchman will play next season.
The forward, who will turn 38 on December 19, has scored 11 goals in 12 appearances across all competitions this season, continuing to display his trademark high level of play.
Reminder: Al-Ittihad plans to invite Didier Deschamps after the 2026 World Cup.
