The Saudi club could reunite Deschamps with Benzema and N'Golo Kanté.

Details: According to Lequipe, Saudi side Al-Ittihad, currently home to Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kanté, is looking to appoint 57-year-old Frenchman Didier Deschamps as their head coach.

It is reported that the Saudis hope to secure Deschamps’ approval after the 2026 World Cup, which is expected to be his last tournament in charge of “Les Bleus.”

The main arguments Al-Ittihad will use to convince Deschamps to sign are generous financial terms and the presence of his former protégés—Kanté and Benzema—whom he coached with the French national team.

Deschamps has led the French national team since way back in 2012, overseeing 173 matches. Under his guidance, “Les Bleus” have racked up 111 wins, 32 draws, and 30 defeats. With France, Deschamps won the 2018 World Cup and the Nations League in 2021.

For the record: Return! N'Golo Kanté included in France squad for upcoming matches
