Barcelona's management is considering extending Robert Lewandowski's contract.

Details: According to ESPN, Barcelona is ready to offer a new deal to Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, but the main condition is a significant reduction in his salary, as he is currently one of the highest-paid players at the club.

It is reported that the Blaugrana's head coach Hansi Flick is extremely satisfied with Robert's commitment and productivity (116 goals in 186 matches). Flick and sporting director Deco believe that the Pole's experience will be invaluable in the dressing room, even though he will turn 38 in August. In the club's new project, Lewandowski is set to play a key rotation role, helping younger teammates develop and progress.

The money saved on Lewandowski's salary will be used by Barcelona to strengthen the squad. The club's top priority this summer is signing a new elite striker. On President Joan Laporta's shortlist are Julian Alvarez from Atletico and Dusan Vlahovic, whose contract with Juventus is also nearing its end.

It's worth noting that this season the Polish striker has played 27 matches for the Catalans in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing 3 assists.

Reminder: Chelsea has joined the race with Barcelona for Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez.
