Barcelona's management is seriously considering the option of dismissing Xavi from his position as head coach.

According to Mundo Deportivo, if the club decides to part ways with the Spanish specialist, they will have to pay him and his staff approximately 20 million euros. This amount is substantial, especially given Barcelona's current financial situation. Additionally, they will need to account for the salaries of a new coach and their team.

However, if Xavi chooses to leave voluntarily, there will be no compensation or it will be significantly reduced. If he is dismissed unilaterally, Xavi will be entitled to demand the full amount of his contract, which runs until 2025.

It should be noted that club president Joan Laporta and other board members were infuriated by Xavi's recent comments about Barcelona's inability to make top transfers due to financial difficulties, consequently affecting their ability to compete for trophies.

At the end of January, following a 3:5 defeat to Villarreal, Xavi announced at a press conference that he would leave the team at the end of the season. However, after a series of positive results, the club's management managed to persuade him to at least complete his contract, which runs until the summer of 2025. This was announced at a special press conference.
