Barcelona is facing financial difficulties and will need to part ways with some current players in order to purchase new ones this offseason. The Catalan club is open to negotiations regarding all players except one – Lamine Yamal.

Previously, Barcelona's president, Joan Laporta, revealed that they received a €200 million offer for their homegrown talent, which they turned down. While Laporta did not disclose the club that made such a generous offer, it was revealed that Paris Saint-Germain was willing to pay this amount for the 16-year-old player.

The French champions view Yamal as an excellent replacement for the departed Kylian Mbappe and are determined to continue their pursuit of the forward. According to Mundo Deportivo, PSG will make another offer to Barcelona next week, raising the price. It is reported that PSG is willing to break the world transfer record and pay €250 million for the player. However, it is also reported that Barcelona will reject this offer as well.

Barcelona considers Yamal an excellent player for their team, a belief he validated last season and continues to do so at the European Championship with the Spanish national team.

It is worth noting that the current transfer record also belongs to a PSG purchase from Barcelona. In 2017, the French club paid €222 million for Neymar.

Barcelona's refusal does not completely rule out PSG's chances of acquiring Yamal. The forward’s contract includes a release clause set at €1 billion. Although the French champions could theoretically pay this amount to initiate negotiations, such a scenario is considered highly unlikely.

We also remind you that PSG is also considering other players to replace Mbappe, and today we reported that the Parisian club continues to monitor the Manchester United striker.
