Barcelona drop interest in Julián Álvarez after his poor head-to-head performance

The issue stems from his underwhelming display in their recent head-to-head clash, where Barça defeated Atlético 2–1. Barcelona believe Álvarez is not worth the fee Atlético Madrid are demanding.

This comes shortly after we reported that Barcelona had officially submitted a request to Atlético Madrid regarding a potential transfer for the 25-year-old Argentine forward. However, Atlético’s response stunned the Catalan board.
