Barcelona have made a strong statement in their pursuit of the La Liga title, edging ever closer to a moment of triumph. What's more, the Catalans could seal their championship victory in the season's biggest showdown—against Real Madrid.

In matchweek 30, Barcelona secured a crucial win over Atlético Madrid (2-1), while Real suffered a surprise defeat to Mallorca, widening the gap to seven points.

The scenario is straightforward: if the Blaugrana maintain their seven-point lead heading into their direct clash with Real in matchweek 35, and then defeat Madrid at Camp Nou, their advantage would stretch to ten points with just three matches remaining. That would all but guarantee an early coronation as champions.

There's also an alternate script: Barcelona could wrap up the title even earlier—by the end of matchweek 34. In that case, the intrigue would shift to a symbolic question: will Real Madrid players form a guard of honour for the champions before El Clásico?
