Bafana Bafana continue to rise in Fifa rankings after thumping Eritrea 5-0

South Africa's rise on the Fifa rankings continues unabated as they also show improved displays on the field of play.

Bafana Bafana were ranked on the 54th spot before their last two 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches.

The victories against Guinea, 2-1 and the 5-0 drubbing of Eritrea saw South Africa improve on their rankings.

Pitso Mosimane's men are now ranked 49th in the World with the next official update by Fifa to be released on October 7.
