Liverpool’s summer acquisition Jeremy Jacquet has faced a major setback even before officially moving to Anfield.
Details: Rennes head coach Habib Beye has confirmed that the 20-year-old defender sustained a serious shoulder injury during the French league match against Lens.

The incident occurred in the second half of the match, which ended in a 1-3 defeat for Rennes. The young defender landed awkwardly on the turf, injuring his shoulder. Jacquet left the field accompanied by medical staff, and eyewitnesses reported that he was in excruciating pain.
It’s worth noting that Liverpool secured the Frenchman’s signature in the winter for nearly €64 million, but the transfer will only be finalized in the summer.
Reminder: Liverpool wants to swap Alexis Mac Allister for Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni.
