The 22-year-old Barcelona midfielder could return to the pitch ahead of schedule.
Details: According to Diario Sport, Barcelona and Spain's 22-year-old central midfielder Pedri is likely to feature in the Champions League clash against London side Chelsea on November 25.
Reports indicate that after Pedri suffered a distal hamstring tear in the match against Real Madrid, his recovery was initially expected to take longer than it actually has. Pedri will not be included in Barcelona’s squad for the upcoming match against Athletic Bilbao this Saturday, but he has a strong chance of traveling to Stamford Bridge, where he could start on the bench but is expected to get some playing time.
Barcelona's coaching staff are determined not to take any risks with the Spaniard to avoid a repeat of the Rafinha situation, who suffered a recurrence of his injury during his very first training session after returning. However, if the final medical tests give the green light for Pedri’s participation, Hansi Flick will receive a significant boost ahead of the showdown with Chelsea.
This season, Pedri has played 13 matches for the club, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.
