Athenkosi Mcaba scores for Stellenbosch FC at the death against Orbit College to ease off relegation woes for his side
It does seem like Stellenbosch FC are now specialising in last minute goals.
Last Sunday in the Caf Confederation Cup, Stellies scored in the last minute of the match and again this even in a Betway Premiership, it was the same script.
Athenkosi Mcaba scored the winning goal in referees' added time at Olympia Park Stadium in Rustenburg against Orbit College.
Steve Barker’s men came back from behind to win this match as the home side scored first through Mbuleleo Wagaba just before half time.
Actually, Stellies looked like they were to lose this game as the equaliser came with a minute to go by midfielder Thato Khiba.
Khiba has been dominant figure in midfield for the Cape Winelands side as he also created Ashley Cupido’s goal on Sunday against AS Otoho in the Caf match.
This resuly will be a much needed relief in their quest to move away from the relegation zone and also a motivation ahead of Sunday’s Confederation Cup against Tanzania’s Singida Black Stars.
The win sees them move to the 13th spot on the PSL standings.
