Arsenal send scouts to Sporting match as Arteta monitors three team stars

Despite the departure of Rúben Amorim, Lisbon's Sporting continues to lead the Portuguese league, and several of the team's stars are catching the eye of top European clubs.

Details: According to Record, London-based Arsenal are now targeting three of Sporting's key players. The Gunners have long been linked with striker Viktor Gyökeres, but the latest report connects them with Francisco Trincão and Ousmane Diomande as well.

It's reported that Arsenal's head of recruitment, James Ellis, sent a scout to watch Sporting's clash with Benfica (1-1), a match in which Trincão found the net.

Ellis was highly impressed by the winger, and now Arsenal are ready to make a move for the player. They are prepared to offer him double the salary he currently earns in Portugal.

Reminder: Earlier reports suggested that Arsenal are very close to signing Real Sociedad midfielder Martín Zubimendi.
