Arsenal could surprisingly loan out their top talent in January
Arsenal are considering sending 16-year-old Max Dowman out on loan in January if it would help the young footballer accelerate his development. Head coach Mikel Arteta intends to assess the midfielder's situation before the January transfer window opens.
Dowman was one of the biggest breakthroughs of last season, setting several records. The Englishman became the youngest goalscorer in the history of Arsenal and the Premier League. He has once again attracted attention this season, scoring twice in Arsenal's 4-2 victory over Ipswich Town in the Carabao Cup.
Arteta wants to keep Dowman in the first team but admitted that the club will regularly assess which option is best suited to his development.

Dowman will be able to go out on loan after December 31, when he turns 17. The transfer window will open on January 1, with Luton, managed by former Arsenal player Jack Wilshere, reportedly among the clubs interested in the midfielder.
