Around 5,000 fans at the airport gave the UFC champ an incredible welcome to the event

Spanish fighter of Georgian origin, Ilia Topuria, arrived in his historical homeland, Georgia, today, where he received an incredible welcome.

Approximately 5000 fans gathered at Tbilisi Airport to welcome Topuria, eager to get an autograph from the athlete.

It is expected that Topuria will attend the semi-final match of the Euro 2024 qualification play-offs between the national teams of Georgia and Luxembourg. He will present his UFC championship belt to the fans and deliver a symbolic first strike in the match.

Previously, he did the same before a game of his favorite football club, Real Madrid, ahead of their match against Sevilla.

As a reminder, on February 17th, Topuria knocked out Alex Volkanovski to become the UFC champion. Afterward, he called out Conor McGregor for a fight.
